The volume contains 12 scientific articles by outstanding Polish and Ukrainian experts on the subject of Late Antiquity in the Black Sea Basin. The publication summarizes the results of the IAE PAN excavations in Olbia Pontica (Ukraine) and also presents new research hypotheses formulated on their basis. The texts included in the presented volume expand knowledge about the Migration Period and the role of Olbia Pontica in these events. The volume is supplemented by very interesting publications on the Lviv beginnings of the Polish school of Mediterranean archaeology, some aspects of the online trade in Olbia coins on the Internet and the history of the fortifications around Kiev from the Mongol invasion to the current Russian invasion.
