As part of the project, a communiqué was prepared and published in a memorial book in honour of Prof. Evdoksia Paputa-Vladyka. The author (who is also the project leader) presents his arguments for the identification of Pontic Olbia and its surroundings with the mythical land of the Goths, called Oium by Jordanes.

Special issue of Archaeologia Polona 62/2024
The volume contains 12 scientific articles by outstanding Polish and Ukrainian experts on the subject of Late Antiquity in the Black Sea Basin. The publication summarizes the results of the IAE PAN excavations in Olbia Pontica (Ukraine) and also presents new research hypotheses formulated on their basis.

On December 13, 2023, Alfred Twardecki, head of the "Ancient Monuments of the Black Sea" project, appeared before the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The topic of the presentation was the threat of warfare to archaeological sites, with particular emphasis on Olbia. The speech, at the request of the presidium members, was held in Polish.
